Family Covenant Class

Location: Family Room - (Behind the Fireside Room)

Time: Sundays 9:30 - 10:15 am

Kristin Jack 254-776-7768

The Family Covenant Class gathers each week during the Sunday school hour to share life, learn about our faith, and realize we are “not alone” in this thing called parenthood. Learning ways to share the light of Christ with our children is an important part of this group. Come and join other parents who are trying to figure out this whole parenting-thing together. We laugh and cry together and support and love one another. We also deeply care for each other’s kids as we seek to be positive influences in all children/teens’ lives.

Location: Butler Chapel

Time: Sundays 9:30 - 10:30 am

Contact: Leonard and Gay Lynn Hooks 254-772-8898

Logos means word, so we study the Word. Scripture is the inerrant voice of God where He reveals himself to us. Thus the Lord speaks to believers thru the Word and it is the power of the Word that changes lives, grows us in holiness, and makes us His representative in this world.

Location: Downstairs - Room 109

The Seekers Class is for those seeking conversation and reflection about practical ways to apply faith and life.  If you are looking for a class committed to sharing life and love, this is for you.

Pastor's study & small groups

On Wednesday evenings, Rev. Brian Coats leads a book or Bible study from 5:30-6:30 pm. For 30 minutes he shares his thoughts, and then the group splits into breakout groups for the other 30 minutes. For more information, contact Rev. Coats.

On Sunday evenings, CCC children, youth and adults participate in intergenerational home-based small groups. These groups are centered around table fellowship, sharing highs and lows and considering precepts from God's Word. We provide sign-ups and "on ramps" for small groups about four times per year.

Other adult fellowship groups

Women's Ministry

We currently have three Disciples Women groups at Central - "Timeless Treasures," "Eat, Pray, Love," and "Cal Gals." The focus of each of these groups is fellowship, service and fun. You are invited to get involved and share your faith journey with other women.

Weep Less Widows

This group is made up of ladies who like to eat out occasionally, attend movies and community events, but do not want to go alone. We gather on the first Sunday of the month, after church service, to have our noon meal together. We also share joys and concerns, and plan a calendar of events we might want to attend for that month.

Men's Ministry

The men of the church get together about once a month for fellowship events or service projects. In 2016, we ate out several times, cooked BBQ for the church Homecoming, worked on a Habitat job site and served together in the Pumpkin Patch.

For more information about any of these groups, please contact the church office.
