Rev. Brian Coats, Senior Minister

Brian Coats is a pastor, preacher, communicator, teacher, writer, speaker, husband and father. An ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), he has been the Senior Pastor at Central Christian Church since 2012. He is responsible for providing direction and care to the entire congregation. He serves as head of staff and preaches about 42 times per year. He guides and equips lay leaders and staff in coordinating all the church’s ministries.

In vocational ministry since 1994, Brian has served as a senior pastor, associate pastor, youth minister and as a communications director. He feels a call to passionately and compassionately share the story of the life and love found in Jesus Christ. The grace of God has transformed his life, and he has made it his life’s work to be a creative, energetic missionary of the Gospel.

Brian and Nicole Coats met at Texas A&M University and have been married since 1996. They have three children: Kiley, Cailyn and Joshua.

The majority of Brian's free time is spent watching his kids' activities. He uses the hashtag, "#ilovetowatchyouplay" quite often. He also likes to water ski, play tennis, read, tweet and eat Tex-Mex. He considers himself a fairly-passionate Aggie sports fan, and some of his favorite scriptures are Matthew 5:14-16, John 15:9-17, Philippians and Psalm 16.

REV. KRISTIN JACK, MINISTER TO FAMILIES

Kristin grew up attending Central Christian Church, but moved to Fort Worth in 1993, to attend TCU where she earned a degree in Special Education. After several years of teaching full-time and also doing part-time youth ministry at both inner-city Fort Worth churches and Mid-Cities Disciples of Christ Churches, she accepted a call to full-time youth ministry at University Christian Church in Fort Worth, TX, where she spent nearly five years.

Kristin has been a Licensed/Comissioned Minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Southwest Region since 2002. Returning to CCC in August of 2007, she definitely feels at home. As the Minister to Families, Kristin serves all ministries involving children, youth, and their parents, and assists with Worship among other things. She's also in charge of The Pumpkin Patch at Central Christian Church each fall.

Her passion is to help children and families know that God loves them no matter what and we all can SHINE the light of Christ in the world by loving EVERYONE and making good choices. Kristin strives to help families embrace being the primary source of faith development for their children and is always trying to find ways for the church and home to partner together.

She has been married to Justin since 2000, and they have three children, Savannah, Carter, and Addison. She loves being with family & friends, entertaining, cheering for the Horned Frogs, cooking, photography, travel, and music.
