2nd Lt. William Fred Nalley

Lt. Nalley was born in Waco on November 14, 1921, and graduated from Waco High School. He attended Baylor University and the University of Texas at Austin before receiving his commission in the Army Air Corp. He received his flight wings at Stuttgart, Arkansas on April 15, 1944. He was killed June 26, 1944, while serving with the 32nd Bomber Squadron, 301st Bomber Group at Foggia, Italy. He was initially listed as missing in action until his remains were found and transported home to Waco for reburial in Oakwood Cemetery. He was 22 years old.
