My mom, Callie Boatman, has been in and out of the hospital since January 30, 2025. They finally found out she needs an urgent mitral valve replacement, which requires open heart surgery. She suffered from mental illness for 28 years and smoked an average of 2 packs of cigarettes per day during this time. 3 years ago she was saved by Jesus and her mental illness has been silenced and her smoking stopped. Her lungs normally function around 80% due to all her smoking, but now the mitral valve is caused fluid build up in the lungs and they need a lot of help to get the fluid off of them. She is making improvements with all the medical supports, but her life depends on her lungs getting strong enough and functioning at high enough levels to support her success during and after surgery. Success is survival for her. I know God’s will is done, and I come to ask for him to pour strength into her lungs, her mind, and her spirit and prepare her for a successful surgery and recovery. A little back story; I “lost” my mom to mental illness starting when I was 12, which caused me to live with various family members. About 12 years after that, our relationship started to mend a little at a time. In 2022, she moved in with my husband and I. In 2022 is also when she was saved by Jesus and she gave her life to Jesus. I have cherished every moment possible with her since then. Thank you for your prayers. Proverbs 13:22 says that a good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children. My dad left me nothing because he lost everything. I pray Lord that you restore what my dad lost (his houses, cars and his hard-earned money), including his reputation and the mockery he endured, so that he did not die in vain and allow me to build it to leave a legacy for my kids and generations to come. I don’t know how but I know you can do it because you are mighty. I have no family members to help me. I believe and trust that you have more for me in this life and there are great things for me because I am the daughter of the most high god. I also pray that I will be treated with respect and that people will look up to me and not down on me… my mum does this, my bosses do it, my cousins do it… I often find I am treated like I am nothing and nobody… I don’t seek fame or any recognition… nor to be boastful. I seek to leave a legacy for my kids, so they don’t suffer. I also seek to build this legacy so I can take care of my mum and my autistic brother. I won't be able to do it on my own. I pray that the lord will give me the financial freedom to be able to do this and also to be able to travel the world and experience his majestic creations and beauty. Lord, I pray that you will bless me and my family abundantly. Bless me with properties as investments. You have the power to allow this just as you designed us to live a purposeful life and leave a legacy.
